Why do our 9070 UV printers use the Ricoh G5I printhead to print?
1. It is well known that RICOH print heads all use a negative pressure ink supply system that allows ink to be pressed directly into the print head without the need for a pump to siphon the print head, a more stable ink supply system that avoids cap stations, dampers and other components.
Epson print heads use a siphoning ink supply system, which is extremely unstable and provides an unstable ink supply. It is necessary to suck up the damper and clean the print head more often. 90% of printer failures are caused by the unstable siphon ink supply system, wasting a lot of ink for maintenance and cleaning, wasting a lot of labour time for maintenance, the
With a negative pressure system you can avoid 90% of the failures and maintenance. Less maintenance also means you don't need to pay a lot of labour costs, saving you money and allowing you to spend more time on making money instead of doing maintenance.
2. RICOH print heads are known for their higher print stability and longer life span, working for 2-3+ years or more, but EPSON print heads alone can be over 2 years for the dx7, 1-3 months for the xp600 usually, 1-6 months for the tx800 usually and 6-13 months for the 1600/3200-u1. Therefore, with a longer life span, you don't need to replace the print head as often, saving you on print head replacement costs.
3. As the RICOH G5I can print with a 10mm gap (print head to media distance), the 10mm gap has good quality which is really useful and expands your business area, the EPSON print head, with a print gap (print head to media distance of just under 3mm), highly limits your printing business, we have customers who have purchased Epson print head printers but cannot print iPhone 13/14 or Samsung phone covers, and other uneven surface media.
